The Walnut Creek store

Our Walnut Creek store was our second location, opening in May of 2005.
Even with neighbors like Nordstrom, Coach, Pottery Barn, and Neiman Marcus, our Walnut Creek store was the only one that received constant complaints about the price of our gelato despite the fact we charged less in Walnut Creek than we did in San Francisco and Berkeley.

Our Walnut Creek store had been a running shoe store before we took it over. Some locals referred to our location as, "where the running store was," even though we were there twice as long.

Thanks to good record keeping we knew exactly where the drain lines were during the Walnut Creek build-out. Unfortunately, we didn't know they were almost 6 feet down. That was expensive.

We spent a lot of money on this fiberglass gelato cone from Italy for the Walnut Creek store. When it arrived it was painted different than we had asked. It was so ugly. Who has red and yellow whipped cream? I was mad it was so ugly and didn't even want to put it in front of the shop. Eventually, it was knocked over so many times it had to be thrown out.
